Neglecting Health

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

So many people think that increasing their income would make everything better. They think of all the problems they have and how it could all be solved with just a little more extra money. Paying all your credit card debts, buying a new car, working less and having more time with the family are all great advantages. Money and passion can very well go together, but it should not be your priority.

Think about your situation right now, or think about your future, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Is it your job, is it your family and friends, is it money, is it all the great things you can do, are you thinking about having fun? Don’t get me wrong, all of these can be great answers, but no matter how you put it, your health should be included in any plan you have.

How can you expect to get a better job if you aren’t healthy, how can you expect to travel to great destinations if you aren’t in good shape, how can you expect to play with your kids if you can’t keep up with them, how can you expect to spend all the millions of dollars you dream about if you don’t have the energy to be active.

The fact is, a large percentage of the people who are healthy take it for granted. They are healthy now, and therefore don’t see any problems and pass on to ‘more important things’. Your health and your body needs constant attention and is the last thing you want to neglect. And do you know what is the best in all this, it does not take that much effort! You don’t need to deprive yourself of all the good food there is, nor do you need to exercise 2 hours everyday. You don’t need to become a vegetarian either.

What you need to do is become conscious of your body and include at least something every week for it. Ask yourself when was the last time you exercised? Can you try to go and make an exercise session of 20 minutes, 3 times a week? When people hear this, right away they think of how exhausted they will be, and to think they have to do this 3 times a week is overwhelming! Do you realize that 20 minutes, 3 times a week is just ONE hour a week! People who have full time jobs work 40 hours a week; you can just add ONE hour extra every week, and you would have easily inserted a good exercise routine in your life.

Driving Traffic to your website Intelligently

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

When you start a website, your single challenge is to increase traffic. You probably already know this, and if you are just starting a website or starting a blog, increasing traffic is not really easy. There’s really 2 parts to a website, the content and traffic, and both take a good amount of time.

Increasing traffic is time consuming, and this is especially true if you want to increase traffic for free, which is what most beginning bloggers want to do.

There are many ways to increase traffic, and most of these methods are already known and popular, and guess what, they work! The problem with most bloggers who want to increase traffic for their blog is they are not using the traffic tips in an efficient way. Here’s what I mean. If you look around and search for traffic tips, you will without a doubt read that you have to comment on other people’s blog, or that you have to post on forums. You would be surprised at how well these methods work.

Yet, people still ask how to get traffic, or complain that it doesn’t bring enough visitors. Their problem is that they are not using these methods in an intelligent fashion. They count: Quantity>Quality. WRONG! Going on blogs and making comments such as, “Great post, I like it”, or “Interesting Blog”, in hopes that the readers will click on your name or URL doesn’t work. Why would anyone click or want to know more from someone who didn’t prove has anything intelligent to say. Same things on forum, there are thousands of topics everyday on which you can make a post. Instead of making the same old 2-3 word comments that don’t really contribute to anything, or even making 20 of those, you could take your time to construct a smart reply.

That single smart comment or post might not bring much at that time, but if you keep at it and do it consistently, you will slowly start getting noticed from the blog community or whatever forum you are on, and when you start gaining some credibility, then people will start clicking when you say something.

Unless you are willing to invest money in paid reviews or other forms of advertising, making use of already known working techniques for increasing traffic but only intelligently is the only way. Notice, this is the same thing as people who say: “Content is King”. The same principle works here: “Smart Comment Is King”.

Make Money on eBay with DropShipping

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

If you have read the basics of selling on eBay, you are probably aware of how eBay works and are ready to sell at a bigger level. Making money on eBay works almost the exact way as making money with a regular store, wholesaling! Buying things at big quantities and selling them back individually.

One of the best ways to make money on eBay is through dropshipping. In fact, this is what the big and popular PowerSellers are doing everyday. Dropshipping on eBay is a very attractive method to selling because not only you do not have to stock anything yourself, but the risks of selling are limited.

What is dropshipping exactly? Dropshipping first involves a dropshipping company that holds a list and stocks products. You can in turn sell these products on eBay without even owning them. There are 2 great things about dropshipping; first you can sell it on eBay at whatever price you desire, and second, you provide the dropshipping company the address of your buyer and therefore you don’t even need to be in contact with the product to sell.

By the small description above, making easy money on eBay with dropshipping might sound a little too good to be true, and guess what, it is. The point is that there are several barriers and challenges to dropshipping. As you’re probably thinking, one of the challenges is to actually find a reliable dropshipping company that has the convenient prices for you to profit on eBay.

The accessibility and easy of use of eBay makes it a very competitive area. Finding a supplier is not enough anymore, you need to find a dropshipper that has the lowest prices possible. If you never sold on eBay, you might be thinking that you can try to list your item anyways, and if it doesn’t sell you don’t care since you haven’t paid for your product. The only problem is that listing on eBay is just not free.

Other problems arise with shipping the products. You are the middleman here, and you are just ordering the product to be shipped and aren’t doing it yourself. This can lead to many other problems, like lost items, damaged products or even worse, products that are “sold out” and no more in the inventory. These are the problems you risk when dealing with a dropshipper and not doing the shipping yourself.

So there you have it, yet another opportunity to make money, and this time, making money on eBay. The good thing with dropshipping is after you found your company of choice, started selling and seeing some profits, you can be a PowerSeller in no time
